What is Vision to Action (V2A)?

Vision to Action is the granting entity of the Florida-Bahamas Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. 
V2A grants are awarded to help launch innovative ministries that invite people into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and expand the church. Proposals should also address one or more of the goals of making disciples, sharing Christ, growing vital congregations, doing justice, and seeking intentional diversity.

 V2A supports “out-of-the-box,” new ways of being church in a rapidly changing cultural landscape. The overarching emphasis is on intentional evangelism--inviting new people to experience the life-changing power of the gospel.

Priorities for grantmaking are published each year, ​based on goals that were established through ​a synod wide listening and planning process.

Save the Date: the next event the Vision to Action Team will focus on is one’s “Legacy.” Scheduled for Sunday, April 19 th from 11am – 2 pm, participants will learn how to plan with care and foresight for end-of-life issues. The program will help participants ensure their wishes are honored, thus easing the burden on loved ones. Key end-of-life planning involves organizing financial assets; considering the distribution of one’s resources; securing important legal documents; detailing healthcare preferences; and being aware of community resources for long-term, palliative and hospice care, burial or cremation, and funerals. This event will take place in the gym with a light lunch served. Please register on the Vision to Action sign-up sheet found on the desk in Hart Hall.
